You have the opportunity to work with a skilled consultant for a specified amount of time on an hourly contract basis. This is a successful option if you do not have the full-time headcount to hire someone initially, if you would like to have the option to see the candidate work in the role before fully committing to hiring or if you have a time bound consulting engagement and just need an hourly resource.

Once you hire our candidate, a fee is paid to us which is inclusive of: locating, screening, interviewing, reference checking and placing a qualified candidate that directly matches the position and culture of your organization. All of our placements come with a guarantee or replacement option.

If you are looking to join a company as an employee (not a contractor), then you are a direct hire candidate. As a direct hire candidate, there is no cost to you to work with an EmPower HealthIT Recruiter. The client pays a fee for your placement and the majority of our clients pay for interview fly-ins, if you are an out of state candidate. Your salary, benefits and any relocation expenses are negotiated and handled by your EmPower HealthIT Recruiter.

If you prefer to work hourly and on several different projects, then you are a Contractor. Many of these positions can either be for clients in your hometown or could be across the country. Either way, you choose what projects best fit your travel requirements. You are an hourly employee (W2) of EmPower HealthIT’s team and are paid weekly through us for the hours you work.
A large portion of our current business is contract to hire, therefore, if you are a Contractor and are tired of consulting, you can also have the option to convert as a direct hire candidate for the client whose project you are consulting on, should there be an opening…
This option would require you to work with EmPower HealthIT on a “Corp-to-Corp” basis meaning that you would be set up as a corporation (with specific insurance/corporation requirements) and would bill us monthly for your hours worked for our clients.
You are paid just like a corporation/vendor and are responsible for your own tax reporting/withholding and benefits. This is a lucrative option, as you are typically paid more hourly as a Freelance Consultant, since you are handling the tax and burden on your own. Our partnership is to help you find the work and exciting projects. This option allows you to be paid bi-weekly.
